Why
Mediate?
Mediation creates a safe and informal environment for you to settle disputes before approaching court. Even if it’s challenging to reach agreements for all issues, mediation helps all parties involved understand the issues and see them from each other’s perspectives, easing the decision-making process at a later time.

Our Mediation Process
The mediation process, usually taking between two (2) and four (4) hours, follows these steps:
After everyone introduces themselves, mediators start the mediation process by explaining the process and rules.
Everyone takes turns expressing their point of view and what has brought them to the mediation without interruption from others.
Mediators help each person explore the issues on the agenda and encourage and guide the discussion.
Mediators see each person in a confidential private session while the rest consider their options.
Mediators bring everyone together and help to negotiate future arrangements.
If everyone agrees on all or some of the issues, the mediators can write an agreement and give each person a copy containing what was decided.
Agreements are not normally legally binding, but they can be made that way if everyone agrees.
Another session can be arranged if no agreement is reached, but everyone agrees further mediation may help.
All people involved in the dispute and making decisions are encouraged to attend and participate. Witnesses and lawyers are not necessary as mediation is not a legal process.
